The Renaissance of the Mind
The third book in Sydney Banks’ Enlightened Gardener series, The Renaissance of the Mind continues the philosophical journey begun in The Enlightened Gardener and The Enlightened Gardener Revisited. Once again, Banks brings together the unexpected wisdom of an unassuming English gardener and the questioning minds of trained professionals. This time, a gathering of psychologists, therapists, educators, and others has come to listen more deeply to an understanding that is already transforming both their personal lives and their work with others.
Through their conversations, doubts, stories, and moments of realization, the book explores the Three Principles of Mind, Consciousness, and Thought as the foundation of all human experience. The gardener points beyond psychological techniques and the continual examination of the past toward the innate wisdom, mental health, and capacity for insight already present within every person. Building upon the first two books, The Renaissance of the Mind carries the conversation further — toward the possibility of a new understanding of psychology grounded not in what is wrong with people, but in the clarity, love, and intelligence that lie within.
